In today’s fast-paced world, driving diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) requires a dynamic approach. With nearly two decades of leadership across various sectors in Australia and internationally, I understand how DEI shapes workplace culture. As a Kenyan-Australian leader, my journey through leadership and cultural diversity has sharpened my insights and commitment to meaningful change. Leveraging my background in psychology and counselling, I take a human-centric approach to DEI, addressing the psychological factors that influence team dynamics and organisational behaviour, ensuring that organisations move from awareness to impactful, actionable change.

Strategic Advocacy for Systemic Change: Pioneering DEI and Leadership Innovations

My advocacy drives systemic change across communities and organisations. As an Advisory Board member for Culturally Diverse Women, I helped close Australia’s leadership diversity gap. I led a pioneering DEI and Leadership Development pilot for a Fortune 10 company, influencing global inclusive leadership practices. Over the years, my work with consulting firms and state government departments has centered on enhancing psychological safety, addressing inequities, and fostering inclusion. This focus has driven positive change in systems that often marginalise individuals in the workplace.

Forging Impactful Partnerships: Elevating DEI with Innovative Cross Cultural Integration

Creating the right partnerships has been pivotal in advancing DEI. Co-founding the Becoming Better Together Collective with Shantelle Thompson and Gemma Saunders, we integrate First Nations, Kenyan, and Queer cultural influences to help organisations build cultures of respect and belonging. Our collaborative efforts with companies like Spotify, Australian Redcross (Lifeblood), AGL Energy and Sportsbet are bridging critical gaps that traditional DEI approaches often overlook, shifting mindsets from mere compliance to genuine conviction. We provide world class training programs, engaging events, and specialised consulting services.
